South Bay : State Will Help People Go Through Cemetery Records
- Share via
State workers will be on hand today at a Carson cemetery where headstones were found in dumpsters to help people comb through cemetery records and determine where friends and relatives are buried.
Lincoln Memorial Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a spokeswoman said, with about 20 officials available to help visitors.
The state Cemetery Board took control of the burial ground Friday after finding the dumped headstones heaped in trash bins and determining that some caskets were buried two or three inches deep.
