Hughes Electronics to Shed Two Components Units: The Los Angeles-based company agreed to sell its Technology Products Division in Carlsbad and its Hughes Identification Devices Inc. subsidiary in Tustin to a group that includes the units’ managements and Citicorp Venture Capital Ltd. The price was not disclosed. The companies reported combined 1994 revenues of about $100 million and have a combined work force of 400 people. The Technology Products Division builds electronic assembly and test equipment; Hughes Identification Devices makes cards and readers used in access-control devices. Hughes Electronics Corp. is a unit of General Motors Corp.
