ANAHEIM — More than a kilogram of cocaine and several ounces of heroin, with an estimated value of $476,000, were seized Thursday at two Anaheim apartments, officials said.
Four men were arrested, investigators said.
Investigators raided an apartment in the 500 block of N. East Street about 3 p.m. and found the cocaine and 12 ounces of so-called tar heroin, Sheriff’s Department Lt. Ron Wilkerson said. The drugs seized represent about 40,000 doses of cocaine and 7,500 doses of heroin, he added.
Also seized were a 12-gauge shotgun, a stolen 9-millimeter handgun, a press used to form cocaine into one-kilo bricks and sales paraphernalia, Wilkerson said.
Jose Diaz, 30, and Cesar Perez, 19, tried to flee the apartment at the time of the raid but were caught, Wilkerson said.
Meanwhile, two others, Antonio Perez, 21, and Indelfer Torres, 32, were arrested at an apartment several miles away in the 2400 block of Ball Road where half an ounce of crack cocaine was seized, Wilkerson said.
All four were being held in Orange County Jail on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale, with bail set at $500,000 each. Additional charges of possessing the stolen handgun will be sought against Antonio and Cesar Perez, who are brothers, Wilkerson said.
Police said they had followed the suspects for two days before the arrests were made.
