Ralph Kent Cooke; Horse Racing Executive

Ralph Kent Cooke, car and horse racing executive and a director of the Washington Redskins football team, has died.
Cooke, 58, died Monday in Lexington, Ky., of liver failure.
The oldest son of Redskins team owner Jack Kent Cooke, Ralph Cooke was executive vice president of his father’s horse facility, Elmendorf Farm, in Lexington. He had earlier worked in broadcasting and advertising and founded Intralink Inc., a motion picture marketing company.
Ralph Cooke had pleaded not guilty to charges of cocaine possession and faced trial next February.
Born in Toronto, Cooke lived for many years in Southern California.
