Hueneme 21, Channel Islands 7--Ronnie Jenkins rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns in 20 carries to lead host Hueneme (1-1).
Jenkins scored on a three-yard run in the first quarter and iced the game for the Vikings in the fourth quarter with a 24-yard touchdown run. Jenkins also had a 63-yard punt return.
In the second quarter, Hueneme also scored on a 36-yard flea flicker as quarterback George Jones connected with running back Johnny Gatlin.
Down 13-0 at halftime, Channel Islands (1-1) came back with a third quarter touchdown as Charles Merricks hit Ryan Brunsell on a 25-yard pass play. Brunsell led all receivers with four catches for 72 yards.
