Another Parallel

* Dana Parsons’ column about the similarities between cops and reporters (“Journalists to Cops: What’s the Real Story on Fuhrman?” Sept. 6) is right on the money. But there is yet another similarity he fails to mention. When, for example, has a journalist written an expose on the private foibles of a broadcast journalist--even though as targets any number of them qualify as public figures as famous as the politicians whose private lives are routinely scrutinized by the media? Like the police, journalists protect their own.
