Garg Data International: The Newport Beach-based software company said its shareholders, through a newly created corporation, have acquired CAIR Systems Corp., an Irvine software developer. The companies are privately held and terms of the deal were not disclosed. Garg Data, which has 200 employees, makes software used by companies to handle tasks ranging from payroll and accounting to inventory management. CAIR, with 75 employees, writes financial software used by insurance agents and brokers. “The big reason for this acquisition is that CAIR has a base of about 3,000 customers,” said Charles Granville, president of Garg Data. “We will totally rewrite their software and try to expand rapidly in the market.”
