Accident Closes Freeway Interchange

THOUSAND OAKS — An interchange connecting the southbound Ventura Freeway to the northbound Moorpark Freeway was closed for nearly five hours Saturday when a cement truck rolled onto its side, the California Highway Patrol said.
The driver of the empty truck was treated for minor injuries and released from Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, hospital officials said. There were no other injuries.
Vehicles needing to use the interchange were detoured to the Rancho Road exit, the CHP said.
The CHP did not report how the accident occurred or whether the driver would be charged.
