ROYAL RIDE: World champion horseman Mark Phillips, the ex-husband of England’s Princess Anne, will conduct an equestrian clinic this weekend in Lake View Terrace.

“He’s one of the top riders in the world,” said Chris Eaves, designer of the cross-country course at Middle Ranch in Lake View Terrace, where Phillips will conduct a riding clinic Sunday and Monday.

Phillips, a former member of the British Olympic equestrian team, is currently supervising the training of the U.S. Olympic team for some equestrian events, said Betsy Tegatz, owner of Middle Ranch.
