Armor All Products Corp.: The Aliso Viejo car-care products company said profit for the second fiscal quarter declined 40% from the prior-year period, to $2.7 million, or 13 cents a share, from $4.5 million, or 21 cents a share. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was down 3% to $39.8 million from $41.1 million. For the first half, profit dropped 43% to $6.2 million, or 29 cents a share, from $10.8 million, or 51 cents a share, for the first six months a year ago. Revenue decreased 8% to $90 million from $97.7 million. The company said the decline in revenue was primarily due to lower shipments in the company’s largest business unit, the North American automotive division, as retailers continued to reduce inventory levels in response to slower growth in consumer sales.
