THOUSAND OAKS : 2 Motorcycle Riders in Critical Condition

Two Thousand Oaks residents were in critical condition Monday after their motorcycle collided with a van at Wendy Drive and Potrero Road on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Driver Jeffrey Wagner, 39, was in critical condition with a broken arm and numerous facial bruises in Los Robles Regional Medical Center’s intensive care unit. Passenger Heather Taylor, 22, was in critical condition in Westlake Medical Center after having her spleen removed and suffering two broken legs and a broken left arm.
The accident occurred when Wagner’s 1986 Kawasaki broadsided a van driven by 26-year-old Soila Villarreal of Thousand Oaks, police said. Villarreal suffered only slight bumps and bruises, police said. The impact threw Wagner and Taylor off the motorcycle.
No charges had been filed late Monday, but the investigation was continuing.
