CITY SECTION ROUNDUP : Smith’s Late Score Lifts Kennedy, 21-14

Antwane Smith scored on a five-yard run with 6 minutes 51 seconds to play to give Kennedy High a 21-14 victory over host Chatsworth in a Northwest Valley Conference game on Friday night.
Smith rushed for 221 yards in 32 carries and scored on runs of 59, three and five yards for the Golden Cougars (8-0, 5-0 in conference play).
Trailing, 14-0, at the half, El Camino Real (2-5-1, 2-3) rallied. Shaun Fishman completed a 63-yard scoring pass to Byron Carnes in the third quarter. Running back Quincy Wright scored on a two-yard run with 10:20 remaining in the game to tie the score.
Smith then scored from five yards to lift Kennedy
Kennedy quarterback Calvin Zinck completed seven of 11 passes for 116 yards. Waking Bailey caught four passes for 94 yards.
Wright rushed for 63 yards in 12 carries. Fishman completed eight of 16 for 130 yards and a touchdown and Carnes had two catches for 94 yards.
