Irvine Lake Getting an Influx of Trout

Irvine Lake will be closed today and Thursday, but when it opens again on Friday it will be home to an additional 20,000 pounds of rainbow and German brown trout.
With the cooler weather, the trout opener at Irvine should be more successful than last week’s Corona Lake opener, which was a bust because the trout became listless after being dumped in 69-degree water.
