BREA — Lucas Industries, the international automotive and aerospace systems supplier, said Tuesday that it has been selected to supply the cargo winch for the new C-130J aircraft being developed by Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems. The initial contract value is $1 million, with a projected value of more than $20 million over the life of the program.
Lucas, which will manufacture the winches at its cargo systems plant in Brea, said it hopes to sell more than 200 winches to Lockheed for the C-130J and at least that many to C-130 operators.
