Edwards Plans 18-Screen Theater for Aliso Viejo Site

ALISO VIEJO — Edwards Theatres Circuit Inc. will build an 18-screen theater with 4,300 seats at Park Plaza, a retail and entertainment complex being developed by the Mission Viejo Co. at Aliso Viejo Town Center.
The theater will be an anchor tenant in the 360,000-square-foot center, west of Aliso Creek Road between the San Joaquin Hills Tollway and Pacific Park Drive.
The cineplex, scheduled to open in 1997, is one of several projects under construction by Newport Beach-based Edwards, the dominant movie theater chain operator in Orange County.
