WASHINGTON — Army Reserve Capt. Lynda Davis, the wife of House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s press secretary, will not take part in the Bosnia peacekeeping mission after all.
Davis, 46, wife of Tony Blankley and mother of their two young sons, said she was released from active duty for medical reasons and returned home from Ft. Benning, Ga., on Saturday night.
“I’ve been very sick for the last three months,” Davis said in a telephone interview. While not being specific, she said she was released from active duty because of heart and blood problems.
