Born: July 3, 1970, in Helsinki, Finland. Shoots right. Winnipeg’s first-round pick (10th overall) in the 1988 entry draft. Scored a league-leading 76 goals and won the Calder Trophy as the NHL rookie of the year in 1992-93. Selected to play in the All-Star games in 1992-93, 1993-94 and 1995-96. Also played for native Finland at 1991 Canada Cup, ’91 World Championships and ’92 Olympics.

Born: May 8, 1976, in Donetsk, Ukraine. Shoots left. The Ducks’ top pick in the 1994 entry draft (second overall). Left home at 16 to play for Krylja Sovetov club team in Moscow. Played for Russia in the World Junior Championships in 1993 and ’94. Was rated the top European prospect in the ’94 NHL draft.

CHAD KILGER

Height: 6-4. Weight: 215.

Born: Nov. 27, 1976, in Cornwall, Canada. Shoots left. Ducks’ top pick in the 1995 entry draft (fourth overall). Third ranked in the NHL’s scouting report in ’95. Had 42 goals and 53 assists for his junior team in Kingston, Canada, last season. Father, Bob, was an NHL referee from 1970-80.
