Body of Woman Found in Desert Field

PALMDALE — Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives on Saturday were investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman whose body was found in a field alongside a road in Palmdale.
The body of Elaine Quintana of Palmdale was found about 8:30 p.m. Friday near Avenue R, east of 50th Street East, authorities said.
There appeared to be a bruise on the woman’s upper torso, authorities said. Authorities said Saturday they were awaiting the results of an autopsy.
