Council Urges ‘Yes’ Vote on Measure S

Saying that the county can find better uses for the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station than a commercial airport, the City Council this week went on record in support of Measure S.
“A commercial airport at El Toro would be devastating for us” who live in South County, Councilman Harold R. Kaufman said. “I implore everybody out there to get out and vote.”
The council’s action came just one week after San Juan Capistrano’s city council voted to support Measure S, which will be on the March 26 ballot.
