JPL Gets SBA Award: NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory won the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for excellence in the use of small businesses as subcontractors, JPL announced. The Small Business Administration said the Pasadena-based organization was judged to be “the most outstanding” of all research and development organizations in the SBA’s portfolio of 2,500 large contractors. JPL disbursed $62.6 million to small business subcontractors in 1995, JPL spokesman Jim Doyle said.
