Nestle USA Buys Beverage Maker Koala Springs: Terms of Nestle Beverage Co.’s acquisition of the Fremont, Calif.-based maker of fruit-based drinks were not disclosed. Koala Springs International will be integrated into the juice division of San Francisco-based Nestle Beverage Co., an affiliate of Nestle USA Inc., which handles Libby’s Juicy Juice and Kern’s Nectars. The Koala beverage line was a pioneer in the alternative beverage market in the late 1980s with eight fruit-flavored mineral waters.
