Defenseman Richard Matvichuk scored 1:53 into overtime Tuesday night as the Dallas Stars rallied from a two-goal deficit in Calgary to defeat the Flames, 4-3.
Zarley Zalapski’s power-play goal in the third period boosted Calgary to a 3-1 lead. But Stars’ defenseman Darryl Sydor scored at 8:49 and then a miscue by Calgary goaltender Trevor Kidd allowed Kevin Hatcher to tie the game.
