Hit-and-Run Driver Sought in Cyclist’s Death

SANTA ANA — Police on Sunday were searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a bicyclist.
Andrew Rivera, 49, of Santa Ana was traveling southbound on the 2100 block of North Main Street about 3:30 p.m. Sunday when the driver of a gray station wagon hit him. Police said the driver of the station wagon was speeding and dragged Rivera for about 100 feet.
Rivera was then thrown into a light pole as the driver pulled away, police said.
He was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Orange where he died.
