‘Urban Cowboys’

Thanks for your article on the Single Action Shooting Society’s competition in Norco (“Urban Cowboys,” April 26).

It is refreshing to read that handguns, rifles and shotguns do have a useful purpose and that not all gun owners are nuts. Perhaps more positive reporting like this could influence some drive-by wannabe to instead join these “big kids” whose idea of a drive-by shooting is sitting atop an oil drum that is decked out like a horse and blazing away at paper targets.
