* I read David Wise’s statement that my father [James J. Angleton] had suggested to others that [former CIA Director] William Colby had served as a Soviet mole (Opinion, May 5). My father talked about Colby with me often. However, he never suggested that Colby was a Soviet mole.
N. Scott Miler served as my father’s chief of operations for counterintelligence. My father respected Miler. Miler possesses perception and integrity. Miler told me that my father had never suggested that Colby had served as a Soviet mole.
