Hearings Scheduled on New City Budget

The city’s proposed $42.8-million budget will be reviewed at public hearings at 3:30 p.m. June 10 and 5:30 p.m. June 11 at City Hall, 303 W. Commonwealth Ave.
Evening City Council sessions will follow at 7:30 p.m. both days.
Council members will discuss the budgets for the police, fire, personnel, engineering and redevelopment departments, development, maintenance, community and administrative services, the airport, the library and capital improvement programs.
Employee salaries and benefits make up the greatest portion of the proposed budget--$38 million.
