Workshops to Offer Help With Grants

Workshops to help applicants for the L.A. Cultural Affairs Department’s 1997-98 Cultural Grants Program will take place at several sites citywide starting July 9 at 6 p.m. at East L.A.’s Self-Help Graphics and Art.
Sixteen additional workshops will be held in locations including Reseda, Eagle Rock, Granada Hills, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Sun Valley, San Pedro, Venice and Tujunga. The final workshop takes place Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. at the Gallery Theatre at Barnsdall Art Park.
The Cultural Affairs Department has made several changes in the grants program this year that affect organizations and individual artists; changes are detailed in the program’s application booklet.
The application deadline is Sept. 3.
