Third baseman Jack Howell’s strained right hamstring is healing just about as expected--slowly. He walked for 15 minutes on a treadmill the other day at Anaheim Stadium and reported no discomfort.
Howell has yet to attempt to run and there can be no target date for his return until he does so.
