Intersection Targeted for Added Enforcement

Take a tip from the Thousand Oaks police: Obey the speed limit on Thousand Oaks Boulevard at Oak View Drive this week, or you will be cited.
In its ongoing Traffic Tip of the Week program, the department’s traffic bureau has selected the intersection for enhanced enforcement of speed laws, according to Sgt. Ken Bailey.
The intersection has been the site of a numerous accidents due to speeding.
“It is the hope of the Thousand Oaks Police Department Traffic Bureau to reduce the number of traffic accidents in the city through this type of community traffic education and enforcement,” Bailey said.
The bureau also reported that it has a new phone number for reporting abandoned vehicles--371-8379.
