IRVINE — Wonderware Corp. said revenue for its second quarter will be below analysts’ expectations, and the company expects to incur a loss for the quarter.
The company, which makes industrial automation software, estimated its net losses for the second quarter will be between 4 cents and 9 cents a share, on revenue of between $14.5 million and $15.5 million. A consensus of seven brokers had predicted earnings of 17 cents a share for the quarter.
The estimated revenue, while representing an increase of between 13% and 21% from the second quarter of 1995, is below expectations because of lower sales of Wonderware InTouch in Germany and lower than expected revenue from two new product lines.
