6 Student Artists Receive Scholarships

* Scholarships funded by the Ojai Studio Artists Tour were awarded to six art students.

Chia Sage Hersk of Ojai received the first annual Vivika Heino Memorial Scholarship. Hersk will use the $1,500 award to help fund overseas studies through Long Island University.

Billy Roche of Ventura, who attends a summer program at California Institute of the Arts, received $500.

Matt Stallings, a Nordhoff High School senior, and Sarah Elizabeth Cornish, a CalArts summer program student, each received $250. Also awarded $250 were Kelsey Park-Sherbo, a former Nordhoff High School student attending Cal State Chico, and Charles Holt, a Ventura College student.
