Man Critically Injured in Shooting

Authorities from Ventura and Santa Barbara counties were investigating the shooting Saturday night of a man on Rincon Road near the county line, a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
The shooting occurred about 8:40 p.m. in the 9400 block of Rincon Road, also known as Highway 150, at the Rincon Del Mar Ranch, authorities said.
“All we know is that one guy got mad at another and shot him,” said a sheriff’s deputy.
Witnesses reported hearing a woman yelling in Spanish at the scene soon after the shooting.
A male victim, age and identity unknown, was transported to St. Francis Medical Center in Santa Barbara with a single gunshot wound, authorities said.
“He’s here and he’s critical,” a hospital spokesman said.
Authorities said the wound was not self-inflicted.
