This Rule Didn’t Hold Water for Butler

“If you can put a can of tobacco, which we don’t allow, in your pocket,” Claire argued, “why couldn’t you carry a bottle of water?”
The league office agreed, and permission was granted.

Reminder: The Dodgers’ game tonight has been pushed back to 7:30 because of the pregame ceremony honoring Tom Lasorda. . . . Reliever Darren Hall completed his rehabilitative assignment at Class-A Yakima, yielding one unearned run in two innings. He is not expected to be activated, and likely will join the Dodgers’ Instructional League in a week.
