St. Paul 35, Alemany 17--Alemany, which trailed 21-17 at halftime, was led by Miguel Fletcher, who rushed for 170 yards in 21 carries.

Alemany’s Kurt Hohan added 75 yards in eight carries and scored on a 32-yard run.

Alemany (0-7, 0-2) rushed for 268 yards but couldn’t mount a passing attack. Gary Nieto completed only six of 13 passes for 53 yards. He threw one interception.

The Alemany defense was pounded for 253 rushing yards, 409 overall.

St. Paul (5-2, 1-1) was led by running back Saul Frausto, who rushed for 198 yards in 26 carries and scored on runs of seven, four and six yards.
