Gunman Kills 3 in Apparent Robbery

A gunman fatally shot three workers at a French Quarter restaurant and critically injured another during an apparent robbery. A waitress at the Louisiana Pizza Kitchen discovered her co-workers in a freezer when she arrived to set up tables, said Lt. Marlon Defillo, a police spokesman. The victims’ identities were not immediately available and Defillo did not say what, if anything, was stolen. A man and a woman died at the restaurant, another man died at a hospital. A man who was shot in the back was upgraded to serious condition.
