Woodbridge Fights Back to Win Title

Woodbridge battled back from a one-point deficit after three quarters in girls’ basketball to upset Laguna Hills, 47-44, in the finals of the Woodbridge Tip Off Classic.
Nicole Roberts’ layup with 1 minute 40 seconds left put the Warriors up by five points.
Woodbridge (4-0) outscored Laguna Hills, 14-10, in the final quarter and made four of five from the free-throw line.
Krissy Duperron, named the tournament MVP, scored 11 points for Woodbridge.
Cathy Joens, who scored 13 points to lead the way for the Warriors.
Tayyiba Haneef led Laguna Hills (3-1) with 15 points.
