Scout Hut Renamed for School Principal

Orangethorpe Elementary School’s Scout Hut has been refurbished and renamed.
Local Cub Scouts now call it Backus Hall, in honor of Orangethorpe Principal Patrick Backus. The facility was renamed in appreciation of Backus’ many years of support for the program.
The hut is on the northeast corner of the campus, 1400 S. Brookhurst St.
