Discussion to Wait on Gose Replacement

The City Council will wait until after Ken Gose’s burial Wednesday to decide how to fill the councilman’s seat.
Gose, who was in the middle of his second council term, died Saturday from complications of a brain tumor. He was 75.
“To be quite frank, with all respect to Ken, we’re going to wait to decide what to do until after he’s been laid to rest,” said Mayor Stanley Daily, adding that the council may hold a special meeting Thursday to discuss how to proceed. The council may either appoint a replacement or hold an election to fill Gose’s seat.
Gose had been on excused absence from the council since October.
At Daily’s request, flags in Camarillo will remain at half-staff until after Gose’s burial.
