Save Island Sheep From Government
I pray to God that the article about the beautiful, woolly creatures (the feral sheep) will touch the hearts of kind and compassionate people so that their slaughter is not necessary (“Wild and Wooly,” Jan. 29). It should be considered a mortal sin to kill such a beautiful and peaceful animal.
The government takes huge parcels of good land to build prisons to protect hard-core criminals. But it cannot spare a little piece of scrub land to preserve a precious animal. Well, preservation does not bring money into the economy.
