Santa Margarita and Newport Harbor will try to knock off defending champion Irvine in the Sea View League finals at 10 a.m. Saturday at Irvine High.
Irvine, which has been struggling this season, is seeking its fifth consecutive league title.
Three of Orange County’s top 10 schools--Anaheim, Brea Olinda and Magnolia--will compete in the Orange League Championships next Thursday. Competition starts at 3 p.m. at Magnolia High.
Other league championships that will be contested--Saturday: Garden Grove League at Santiago HS, 9:30 a.m.; Wednesday: Pacific Coast League at Esperanza High, 3 p.m.; South Coast League at Dana Hills High, 3 p.m. Thursday: Empire League at Century High, 3 p.m.; Freeway League, at Buena Park High, 3 p.m.; Sunset League at Huntington Beach High, 3 p.m.
