Interpore International: The Irvine manufacturer of synthetic bone graft materials said net income for 1996 totaled $658,000, or 9 cents a share, down 68% from $2 million, or 27 cents a share, for 1995. Sales rose 16% to a record $19.9 million from $17.1 million.
Net income for the 1996 fourth quarter declined 69% to $239,000, or 3 cents a share, from $783,000, or 10 cents a share, for the same period last year. The 1995 fourth quarter included a $1.5 million adjustment to recognize deferred tax assets and a $411,000 provision for distributor sales returns. Sales advanced 26% to $5.3 million from $4.2 million.
