Landman to Be Cited as Officer of the Year

The Police Department and the Exchange Club will host the 26th annual Police Officer of the Year Awards Banquet on Feb. 20.
Bob Landman will be honored as the city’s outstanding police officer for his work to raise public awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Landman, a patrol and traffic officer who is also the lead investigator for hazardous materials incidents, joined the Irvine Police Department in 1985. He has 21 years of experience in law enforcement, previously having worked for the Burbank Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
The event will be at the Irvine Marriott, 18000 Von Karman Ave.
A 6 p.m cocktail reception will precede a 7 p.m. dinner. Tickets are $28.50.
