Anderson Moves to Fullerton College

Larry Anderson is no longer coach of the Katella High football team, and has accepted a job as a line coach at Fullerton College.
In 10 years at Katella, Anderson, who said Monday he left for “personal reasons,” finished with 35-62-5 record. The Knights were 3-7, 1-4 in the Empire League last season.

Dennis Paulson, a graduate of Costa Mesa High, shot a five-under 67 to take first in the Pacific Golf Tour event at Western Hills Country Club in Chino Hills.
Paulson, who lives in Vista, won $1,250. Steve Runge of Mission Viejo shot 69 and won $900 for finishing second. John Willey of San Diego shot 70 and won $750 for finishing third.

Geoff Watson, an offensive lineman at Esperanza, has made an oral commitment to attend Cal State Northridge. Watson, who is 6-3 and 265 pounds, was an All-Empire League selection.

Cathy Cook, a middle blocker at Irvine High, has signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Portland. Cook, 6 feet 1, was an All-Sea View League selection last fall.
