El Modena, Junior; Soccer/Goalkeeper
Viera, who played midfielder on the Vanguard junior varsity last season, has made the switch to goalkeeper with flair. Last week he turned in his 10th and 11th shutouts of the season in victories over Santa Ana Valley (1-0) and Foothill (2-0). Against Santa Ana Valley, one of his six saves was on a penalty kick.
