A natural gas leak caused an hourlong closure of Santa Clara Avenue near Wright Road on Tuesday morning.
The leak occurred at 11:30 when a Southern California Edison work crew installing a power pole accidentally dropped the pole on a three-quarter-inch high-pressure gas line, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.
A gas company crew in the area responded to the emergency and capped the leak.
Santa Clara Avenue reopened at 12:30 p.m. There were no injuries.
