DANA POINT — A Texas investment group has acquired the 4-year-old Dana Point Hilton hotel.
The hotel, located on Pacific Coast Highway facing Doheny State Beach, was owned by Taj Development Corp. of Rowland Heights. The purchase price for Felcor Suites Limited Partnership of Dallas was not disclosed, but the 197-room hotel was listed at $20 million.
In 1993, the hotel was cited by the city for failure to pay more than $120,000 in monthly bed taxes. In a 1994 settlement that ended a city lawsuit, the hotel’s operators agreed to pay $90,000.
