Councilman’s Business Subject of Report
In response to allegations during the last City Council race that two members, Henry W. Wedaa, and Barbara Kiley, may have violated conflict-of-interest rules, the council tonight will hear a report on Wedaa’s business.
Councilman John M. Gullixson requested that the city attorney prepare a report on Wedaa’s California Book Fair and its dealings with the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District.
Wedaa has stated in the past that there was no conflict when he voted on council matters pertaining to business agreements with the school district. He could not be reached for comment Monday.
No disciplinary action against Wedaa is anticipated, city officials said.
Kiley, a government relations consultant, has already been cleared by the city attorney of conflicts in past council issues.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4845 Casa Loma Ave. Information: (714) 961-7100.
