“McHale’s Navy,” in which Tom Arnold takes over the title role from the TV series’ Ernest Borgnine (who makes a cameo appearance in the movie), also opens today at area theaters. Because Universal Studios did not make the film available for screenings, The Times review will appear on Saturday.
