McGinley, Garner Lead Saddleback to Victory in Golf

Mike McGinley and Joe Garner each shot par 72 as Saddleback beat Riverside and Cypress in an Orange Empire Conference golf match Monday at Moreno Valley Ranch.

Saddleback finished with 377, Riverside had 391 and Cypress 428. Saddleback finished the regular season with a 14-0 mark in conference.

Nick Ramirez shot 74, John Lee 79 and Bill Bodensteiner 80.

In Orange Empire Conference softball:

Cypress 3, Orange Coast 1--Rockie Vandiver had two hits and scored two runs for host Cypress (57-3, 17-1), which won its 27th in a row. Shana Rizzo (10-1) pitched five shutout innings for the victory.

Molly Sinclair had two hits for Orange Coast (5-20, 2-16).
