Gaby Freck’s most recent prize for her artwork has made a lot of people at Orangeview Junior High smile.
Freck’s poster of a dancing green dinosaur won her school a $5,000 grant and another $5,000 that will help pay for students’ school pictures. Freck, 13, also received a trip for her family to Universal Studios in Florida, as part of her prize for winning the “Make a Monster Smile” contest, sponsored by M&M;/Mars candy company.
Freck, of Stanton, has won several other art contests during her two years at Orangeview.
